In recent time all over the globe specifically in TECH circuits, their is new technology sounding and often seen and hyped about,that termed as Cloud computing. Is cloud computing really worth to discuss and is it seen and assume as really next big technological innovation?.however having said that it has potential to be one of the next big things in technology space and also there are number of big technology&IT firms providing enough evidence of projects offerings. Then what really is cloud computing?
WHAT IS CLOUD COMPUTING?
Cloud computing often assumed as a pure technology, but not really. It is more of an application technology service practice that enables how companies can harness a powerful technology to cut costs and increase efficiency.In cloud computing scenario a company can actually move its core data and programes that operate on such data from private machines such as corporate servers and desktops owned by vendors(Service Providers).
HOW IT WORKS?
It is too early to elaborate clearly and detailed. But by this simple example one can easily understand basics and working nature of cloud computing. When we/you host a website or use mail (like hotmail,yahoomail or gmail) you are using a server owned,operated and maintained by a vendor(Service provider).And your data,your webpage or email is resident of the vendors machine/server. technically your data is somewhere in the internet "cloud".
cloud computing helps to reduce costs, by both capital and operating,through economies of scale.To use an analogy it is like replacing the electricity generator in your office/home by plugging into electricity supply.When service provider(vendor) supports thousands of customers with his bank of servers and support staff, the cost of each individual customer automatically goes down. It is just begining, lot to be innovated and needed.
